Pediatric Care From Newborns to Teens in Beaverton
Children change quickly, and their health care should grow right along with them. At Tanasbourne Pediatrics in Beaverton, OR , our physicians care for newborns, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and teenagers through age 18. Because we are a smaller practice, your child can build a relationship with a pediatrician who follows them through every stage of childhood.
Newborns
Your baby’s care begins with a newborn check at 2 to 5 days of age, followed by visits at 2 and 4 weeks. We check feeding, weight gain, and jaundice, offer newborn circumcision, and give new parents the guidance they need. Visit our newborn parents page for resources.
Infants
During the first year, babies are seen at 2, 4, 6, and 9 months. These well-child checks track growth and early milestones like rolling, sitting, and babbling, and they include the core series of routine immunizations. We also help with feeding transitions, solid foods, and sleep.
Toddlers
From 12 to 30 months, toddlers are seen at 12, 15, 18, 24, and 30 months. We screen language, motor skills, and social development using tools such as the ASQ and M-CHAT, discuss behavior and safety, and keep vaccines on schedule. When toddlers get sick, our same-day sick visits help them get care quickly.
Preschoolers
Children ages 3 to 5 have annual checkups focused on school readiness, vision and hearing, behavior, nutrition, and healthy activity. Kindergarten-entry vaccines are given during these years, and we can help parents with concerns about attention, tantrums, or development.
School-Age Children
For children ages 6 to 12, annual visits cover growth, learning, friendships, and healthy habits. We perform sports physicals, treat minor injuries, and provide ADHD evaluation and treatment for kids who struggle with focus or impulsivity.
Teenagers
Unlike many pediatricians, our physicians genuinely enjoy caring for teens through age 18. Adolescent visits include private time with the pediatrician, recommended vaccines such as HPV, meningococcal, and Tdap boosters, sports physicals, and screening and treatment for depression and anxiety. We help teens take an active role in their own health as they move toward adulthood.
